First Listen: Fifth Harmony – Work From Home

To think, four years ago the girls of Fifth Harmony were begging their parents to drive them to the X-Factor auditions, so young and innocent with no clue what they were getting themselves into. Flash forward to 2016, a couple of hit singles later and the girls of 5H are all grown up with “Work From Home,” their latest single since signing to Maverick Management.

Picking up where “Worth It” left off, the girls gag their way through an urban-POP cut layered with deep bass lines and punchy POP hooks for what is certain to be a smash. It’s a formula that works for the best girl group in POP and while I enjoy it, I do hope we get more of their POP-leaning cuts on the upcoming album, “Sledgehammer” is still on repeat. Oh, I should mention that Ty Dolla $ign is on the bill, too.
