Adele returns with her new single “Hello” and somehow, the artist with the best-selling album of the decade, has managed to outdo herself.

Earlier this week, Adele revealed that 21 was a breakup record and the followup, appropriately titled 25 – out November 20, is a makeup record. “Hello” is a clear representation of this era’s direction, the message delivers hard on the makeup, even through its heartbreak.

Adele combines her timeless approach to music with a hook that beats about like an ’80s power ballad when the massive hook hits – Heart’s “Alone” anyone? I think it’s safe to say “Hello” is a monster of a record. Welcome back, Adele, you’ve been missed.
