Emoji Review: Selena Gomez and Her Triumphant ‘Revival’

Emoji Review: Selena Gomez and Her Triumphant ‘Revival’

Selena Gomez has officially delivered her best body of work to date with Revival. Gomez has taken all of the right steps to successfully reinvent her image and music on this second solo studio record.

Revival’s highlight is the unexpected “Hands To Myself,” from the infectious top-line to the minimal POP-production, Selena’s ability to go there and still remain a playful POP princess while doing so is faultless. A clear album standout, if “Hands To Myself’ doesn’t get single treatment, I will lose my shit.

Just about every track holds a moment, from the 4 Non Blondes “What’s Going On” vibes of the “Camouflage” verses to the hip-shaking spanish influence on “Me & My Girls.” Maturing her POP and dance roots while exploring a whole new side of the POP-music spectrum, this is Selena unleashed.

Check out my emoji review and get to streaming this record, you won’t regret it.
