DISCOVER: YEARS & YEARS – TAKE SHELTER

DISCOVER: YEARS & YEARS – TAKE SHELTER

British trio Years & Years have dropped the official video for their single “Take Shelter” and it’s very promising!

Riding a tropical synth beat, “Take Shelter” is a smooth, summery pop song with an infectious hook. It’s a bit darker than standard boyband fair (One Direction they are not) as the boys sing “Do what you want tonight/it’s alright if you want to get used!” Years & Years are here to prove that “pop” doesn’t have to mean fluff, and I’m buying it!

Check out the video below, as the band explores a jungle paradise with Sucker Punch’s Emily Browning. It’s quirky, it fits the vibe of the song, and does a nice job of introducing the band’s aesthetic.

As an added bonus check out the “Take Shelter” B-Side, an amazing cover of Blu Cantrell and Sean Paul’s 2003 hit “Breathe”
