Why Will.i.am is a good thing for Britney’s 8th Studio Album.

Britney standom is in total chaos today as Black Eyed Peas frontman, will.i.am, officially revealed that he will serve as the executive producer on Britney’s 8th studio album.

If you read the article, he clearly states:

“…not producing and writing every song, but to be an executive producer on the songs.”

This doesn’t mean every song is going to be a rehash of their previous collaborations, there’s still going to be Dr. Luke and Diplo productions and what not, it just means that he gets to oversee the entire project.

He also goes on to say:

“We can’t do another song about going on the dance floor. Really? Didn’t we see a bunch of Britney doing that already? Don’t we want to see something that comes from her heart?”

Now, I could always use a “Britney on the dancefloor” tune and I’m sure we’ll get a few, but it’s time someone shifts gears on Britney’s career and has her bring something new to the table, don’t ya think? Besides, do you really think she’s going to flip the script entirely? Highly unlikely.

Last but not least, let me remind you that one of Femme Fatale’s best cuts was “Big Fat Bass”. The track was so fresh, even for a masterpiece such as Femme Fatale. I won’t even dive into that one song they did called “Scream And Shout” cause we all know what a flop that was – JOKE – seriously people, it was a worldwide smash, topping charts on a global scale.

Bring it will.i.am, my body is ready.
