Grammy award winning DJ and incredible remixer/producer Peter Rauhofer passed away today, losing his fight with brain cancer.

Unfortunately, I never got the chance to hear or see Peter live. He was supposed to come to San Francisco a few months back, but his health issues took precedence, forcing him to cancel last minute.

Peter won a much deserved Best Remixer Grammy in 2000, for his work on Cher’s “Believe”. When I was 17, I knew nothing about circuit music or remixes, and Peter was one of the first DJs whose tracks I downloaded. His work has continued to be consistently spectacular, as he produced some of the best remixes we’ve heard over the last decade.

RIP Peter. Thank you for the incredible music you have given us that we will certainly be listening to for a long time to come.
