How good is this album going to be? After premiering lead single “Tough Love” and the xx produced “Share it All”, Jessie Ware has dropped a new song from her upcoming sophomore album.  It’s called “Say You Love Me” and in typical Jessie fashion, it’s so good.

Co-produced by BenZel and co-written by fellow Brit Ed Sheeran, “Say You Love Me” highlights the exciting way the new album has Jessie adapting to her collaborators while staying true to the sound of her debut. Much like how “Share it All” incorporated the xx’s trademark ambient guitar beats, “Say You Love Me” blends Sheeran’s brand of radio-friendly pop-rock with Jessie’s smooth r&b-soul vibe.

The singer wanders into new territory in the track’s breathtaking final minute, combining diva pipes and a gospel choir that calls to mind the recent success of Sam Smith. If this is what it takes to get Jessie Ware on mainstream American radio, I’m in!
