While “2 On” continues to do well on R&B radio, Tinashe is pushing ahead, releasing second single “Pretend”.

Featuring A$AP Rocky, the track shares some qualities with “2 On”:  a slinky urban beat, smooth vocals and Aaliyah-like melodies. Produced by “Drunk in Love” hitmaker Detail, “Pretend” pushes Tinashe into sexier territory lyrically, confessing “Let’s pretend you never lied/so I can give it up all night” and “Let’s pretend it’s my first time/So you can really blow my mind.”  “Pretend” is a dark and intimate slow jam that definitely plays to Tinashe’s strengths.
