With each new release, CHVRCHES moves closer towards shimmering, unabashed pop. On the new single “Gun,” the band employed synths ripped straight out of an 80s, teenage cult classic and delicate vocals from lead singer Lauren Mayberry. “Gun” is easily their most straight-up pop track yet. It picks up where previous single “Recover” left off, but leaves behind the darkness in favor of a sunnier sound.

CHVRCHES’ full-length record is expected September 2013.
