After months and months of excitement from Cher and her new music Twitter rambles, we finally have new Cher music! Global superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold is linked to co-writing the song, “Woman’s World”, the lead single from her first studio album in over 10 years.
I have to say I’m not exactly floored with this one, the 90’s dance sound just isn’t working for me here. It could be forgiven if the chorus was top notch but unfortunately, it fails to captivate me. “Woman’s World” isn’t horrible and it will probably hit #1 on the Billboard Dance/Club charts (she’s got the gays locked in) but I don’t think this is the song to bring Cher back to the masses. What about one of those songs that Gaga or P!nk did for her?
“Woman’s World” apparently “leaked” yesterday and forced the label to release it early so…. Happy Thanksgiving!
