Okay, I have to admit that when I first heard the new Paris Hilton song “Come Alive” via an unofficial YouTube account, I thought the pitch of the track was purposely changed for legal reasons. Then I heard the official version from the iTunes preview and I realized the autotune here is kind of whack, it sounds like a euro-POP-dance record from 2005…

But stop, before you (or I) pour the hate on Hilton for her singing abilities (or lack of), you have to appreciate the shit out of this song because it’s a really good POP song. The hook here is all sorts of amazing, I actually think the production is the weakest link on the track and yes, even with Hilton’s autotuned voice taken into consideration.

Face it, if Kylie Minogue was singing and Stuart Price had a hand in polishing this sucker up, you know you would be praising it.

This isn’t Hilton’s first attempt at the EDM scene as a previous collaboration with Afrojack and Lil Wayne failed to ignite any “sparks”. Are you digging the sounds of “Come Alive”?
