Indie maverick Bleu just put out his sixth solo record to date, and it’s quite a spin of a title: ‘Six Tape’.
The “mixtape feel” and VHS creative really takes you back to the good ‘ole 90’s that we’ve all enjoyed growing up. The cross-sections of pop pays homage to some of the greatest artists of our time, including ELO, Prince, and Carl Carlton. The result? A fantastic album.
Bleu displays a lot of vulnerability in this new project, where he touches on many topics that are dear to him: fatherhood, religion, and his upbringing. While the record is upbeat throughout, there couldn’t be a more honest depiction of the creative contemporary artist for his fans to enjoy.
Give Bleu’s record a listen, ya dig?
