Not actual artwork (fan-made) for the rumored re-release but I fancy it plenty!
My educated POP guess is that this must be a demo since it’s lacking all the sugarcoated sounds from a typical Perry production. Overall it’s okay but I rather have “The One That Got Away” as a single before this but no doubt it would be another hit for the “California Gurls” singer. Here is what The Katy Perry Wika has to say about this track –
” Dressin’ Up is a unreleased track from the album, Teenage Dream and was written by Katy Perry , Tricky Stewart, and Matt Thiessen Nueble Monte, and its process of recording was released in March 2010. Rolling Stone magazine said in a article prior to Teenage Dream’s release that it was a track Perry has worked on, calling it “Prince-inspired”. Perry said the song’s lyrics are “cute”. According to a memo released by Namaste Studios (where the song was recorded), the song will be released as a single in 2011 to promote the re-release of Teenage Dream. The song is not listed on Katy Perry’s ASCAP. “
