This is why I love POP music. When I first discovered JMSN over the summer, I was immediately a fan within the first 5 seconds of hearing “Let You Go” and that is not an exaggeration. I felt as if I was being taken on a journey, a journey that spun me round and round in a dark carousel while I sat upon shiny porcelain white horses with the most somber eyes.
“Let You Go” is hauntingly magical, top notch melodies from the verses to the chorus, just stunning really. I can”t stress enough that the best POP music, when performed stripped down in a variety of way, still sounds as amazing if not more amazing as the original (“Umbrella”, “Dancing On My Own”, “Gold”, “The One That Got Away”…could go on forever.) This piano cover of “Let You Go” by The Theorist showcases exactly that, the skeleton of “Let You Go” is pure magic. I dare you to tell me this isn’t beautiful.
What do you think of this “Let You Go” piano cover?
