British electropop duo Goldfrapp will return next March with a fifth album, to be titled Head First. For every fan who thought the most recent offering, Seventh Tree, was a little meh, there’s hope in record label Mute’s description of the upcoming album as a “speedy rush of synth optimism, euphoria, fantasy and romance.” Sounds like a return to the swaggering bombast of Black Cherry and Supernature to us.
Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory will hit the road in support of the album later in 2010.
