It’s time for that new new, introducing Annabel Jones and her aggressive yet brilliant POP sensibilities.
“IOU” is the sort of left-field track that catches you off guard, it’s not typical yet it’s familiar enough to immediately recognize that it is indeed good POP music. I think Jones best sums up her music with this statement:
“You can’t keep putting out meaningless noise and expect culture to grow or evolve,” Jones says. “You can’t refuse to put yourself out there and say what you think or feel because you won’t get that Steve Madden shoe collaboration or a perfume at Macy’s.”
There you have it, this POP rebel of sorts is ready to challenge the mainstream and offer a different brand of chew. I’m into this flavor, are you?
