Darren Hayes unveils marvelous new video for single “Bloodstained Heart”.

A standing ovation and a huge applause to Mr. Darren Hayes. This guy is like a nice bottle of wine, only getting better with age.

His latest video for Australian single “Bloodstained Heart” is quite possibly one of the most tender and endearing moments in POP this year. Every second of this video is nailed to reflect the infinite love of the songs emotions and I’m incredibly moved by it.

Read what Darren had to say about “Bloodstained Heart”:

“The song means so much to me because I wrote it about a time in my life when someone close to me was going through a horrible time and I wished more than anything that I could step in and take the bullet for them. We’ve all experienced that helpless feeling of standing by idly while someone you love is suffering – and wished that you could absorb the impact for them. It’s about those situations in life where, maybe you feel you are losing the battle, but you’ll never lose your dignity.

The visual was directed by Chris Cottam and shot in the UK. “Bloodstained Heart” is currently serving as the Australian single and will be available on the new album Secret Codes and Battleships October 17 (UK) and October 21 (Everywhere else).
