MTV news met up with Aguilera recently, in which she gave the following as a reason for releasing the lackluster NOT MYSELF TONIGHT as first single...

“I had to sort of put everything on hold musically for the record and dive in to filming the movie and for the last six months and a half I haven’t really been able to be myself tonight so “Not Myself Tonight” was the perfect explanation for how I’ve been feeling and wanting to break out of the cage and the mold and release what I’ve been sitting on for so long so it was really nice and I was like, ‘I’m in. This is my song and this is the first single.’”

She continues by saying to expect a WORLD TOUR that will kick off in the states in JULY and over the course of a year travel through Europe, Asia, and Australia!! The tour will coincide with the whole look and feel of BIONIC, are you excited yet Aguilera fans??  We have a feeling we will be snagging tickets up for this show, even though we could care less if she performs the poorly received Not Myself Tonight, girlfriend has far too many hits we want to see her do!

Now, if she really wants to pick up steam for the new album and tour, we HIGHLY SUGGEST she puts out another track ASAP! Right?!
