(Above) Adele imposed on Celine’s body for the sake of a good chuckle.
Watch the songbird performing alongside Darius Rucker (Hootie & The Blowfish frontman) at the CMT Artists Of The Year event.
There are three things that come to mind when I watch the above clip of the pair covering the mega-smash “Need You Now” originally by Lady Antebellum.
- This song completely deserved to sweep the Grammy’s.
- The camera guy needs to stop showing the faces of members from Lady Antebellum as they get outdone LIVE.
- Adele is officially the Celine Dion of this generation – singing other peoples songs much better if not just plain better than they can.
I don’t know how the industry could do without Adele, the girl has been the freshest breath of air in mainstream music for quite some time. She’s like a much younger Amy Winehouse who has her shit together with the show stealing abilities of Celine Dion. Though Adele is of a different Celine breed. She can switch it up and make something entirely her own – check out her cover of the Cheryl Cole single “Promise This” below. Doesn’t matter if the track is a power ballad or not, Adele can likely outdo Celine at her own game. Take that Dion!
The latest release from Adele titled 21 drops today in the US. Already conquering much of the world, it certainly deserves to reign in the land of the free. Support your girl and pick up the album today!
