UK band The Feeling bring disco POP Queen Sophie Ellis-Bextor on board for their song “Leave Me Out Of It” featured on their new album Together We Were Made available today in the UK.

There’s something nostalgic about this record that just works, especially the end when they all “na na na na, na naa”, it echoes some classic  POP rock track I can’t quite put my finger on – U2 maybe? A beautiful tune and Ellix-Bextor only heightens the vulnerability of the tracks lyrics for me. Aside from the already major hits on the album, I think “Revolution”, “Off & On” (the Roisin Murphy track), “Make A Scene”, “Magic”, “Homewrecker”, “Dial My Number”, “Synchronized”, and “Cut Straight To The Heart” are going to be very pleasant POP songs for the playlist! Wait, that’s pretty much the whole album… it may be easier to just say “Under Your Touch” is my least favorite of the bunch!

Make A Scene is available in Russia today(April 18th) and is scheduled for release in the UK on June 6th!

Sophie Ellis-Bextor will release new single ‘Starlight, the follow-up to the international hit ‘NotGiving Up On Love’, on 6th June followed by her new album ‘Make A Scene’ on the same day.

Sophie also worked with Calvin Harris on the album on track ‘Off& On’ which is an edgy, electro track which has the trademark Calvin Harris sound mixed withSophie’s smooth vocals, and is sure to be a hit.

For a while I wasn’t sure what was happening with the upcoming Sophie Ellis-Bextor project, rumors were swirling that she was dropped form the label and the album was never going to see the light of day. Now we have confirmation that the album Straight To The Heart WILL be released on November 29th in the UK. Exactly one week prior to the albums release the upcoming single “Under Your Touch” is set to drop as well, so excited!

She seriously won me over big time with the awesomely titled album Trip The Light Fantastic, it’s one of the best POP albums of 2007! Check out the track listing below for Straight To The Heart and listen to one of my favorite songs from Trip The Light Fantastic titled “Today The Sun’s On Us”. It has a spectacular Stuart Price-esque guitar riff and a cotton candy melody that melts onto your brain! Enjoy.
