Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning worldwide pop icon Britney Spears and singer, songwriter and actress Demi Lovato will join L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell as judges on THE X FACTOR, the hit singing competition series returning this fall on FOX.

Spears is one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history. Her musical career boasts nearly 100 million albums sold worldwide and countless awards and accolades, including the 2011 MTV Video Vanguard Award and Billboard’s Best-Selling Female Artist of the Decade (1998-2008). Spears first captivated audiences with her first single “…Baby One More Time,” an international hit that is currently 14x Platinum in the U.S. So far, Spears has earned a total of five No.1 debut albums and 24 Top 40 songs in her career.

Lovato is an accomplished singer and actress with a devoted and engaged young fan base. Her single, “Skyscraper,” off of her most recent album, “Unbroken,” recently went platinum, while the video for her new single, “Give Your Heart a Break,” already has garnered 10 million YouTube views. Her first album, “Don’t Forget,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and her second album, “Here We Go Again,” debuted at No. 1. Lovato began acting at the age of 10, and starred in the cable television series, “Sonny With A Chance.” Her film credits include “Camp Rock” and “Princess Protection Program.”

“I Will Be There” was the most radio friendly track aside from the released singles so this ones an obvious choice.

…Baby One More Time: I Will Be There

From first listen as a teenager, “What U See (Is What U Get)” was  a stand out track from Oops!. Possessing all the qualities that made “Lucky” and lead single “Oops! I Did It Again” mega hits, this one would have performed equally as well I believe.

Enter Britney era, things start getting tough on album 3 but still safe as “Cinderella” had the potential but overall “Bombastic Love” was a knock out! I think radio would have chewed this one up happily as it’s familiar sound echoes that of the P!nk hit “Most Girls”. An insanely catchy and melodic chorus, “Bombastic Love” is a lost gem from the Britney album.

Ok, In The Zone is where things REALLY become insanely difficult but luckily I’ve had 8+ years to think this over. I think In The Zone IS Britney’s first true artist album so it’s no wonder it’s crammed with hits! While “Breathe On Me” and “Touch Of My Hand” are close, I think in terms of radio smash the award must go to “I Got That (Boom Boom)”. I prefer this over “Outrageous” any day.

Enter post-In The Zone era and things get darker, sexier, and edgier than ever before. Blackout is a POP masterpiece, 80% of this album was ready to be serviced to radio. I absolutely loathe the fact that “Radar” was given single attention (and twice at that) when you had tracks like “Get Naked”, “Freakshow”, and the legendary “Toy Soldier” on the album. This one isn’t easy but “Toy Soldier” was very much buzzed about upon the albums release so it would have made sense to give it the single treatment.

Circus is where I just get pissed off, I can’t think of a soul that wasn’t fond of “Unusual You”. Everyone I know loved it, even non-Britney fans were giving her props on this one. Whoever was in charge of single selection should be FIRED for missing this hit.

Alas we reach the recent masterpiece known as Femme Fatale, a POP album that proved once again why she is QUEEN BRITNEY SPEARS. There were so many single potentials on this album but I believe “How I Roll” should have been it’s shining star, especially over “Criminal”. “How I Roll” was a favorite amongst my friends who “hate” Britney so I KNOW mainstream would have ate this one up.

Like I said last summer, “How I Roll” should have been her “Day” single and “I Wanna Go” should have been her “Night” single. It would have been a fresh concept in music release that we’ve never seen before plus we would have received double the Britney!
