Scissor Sisters Launch “Nightworks” Website For Fans to Remix Single And Artwork
Following the chart success of their album ‘Night Work’, Scissor Sisters have opened a new ‘Nightworks’ dimension to their website which lets fans remix the single ‘Fire With Fire’ and create their own unique artwork.
The twist is that, drawing on the ‘Night Work’ theme fans will only be able to work on the site at night. From 7pm until 7am, they will be able to play with Scissor Sisters audio and visual assets and use them to create their own killer version of ‘Fire With Fire’, or the most bombastic artwork they can come up with. All the artworks and remixes will be shown on the ‘Nightworks’ site, which becomes a virtual gallery during daytime hours (from 7am-7pm).
Fans will vote for their favorite creations using the Facebook ‘Like’ application, and later this year, the top three remixes and top three art pieces will be presented to the band, who will then choose their favourites. The winning poster will be printed up professionally while the winning remix will get pressed up as a white label. Both will be signed by the Scissor Sisters and a super-limited number of them will be made available to fans online, making some exclusive fan merchandise created by the fans, for the fans.
