I have to admit that even though I’ve been a supporter of Mr. Murs, I haven’t been completely sold on him as a powerhouse POP star. Sure, “Army Of Two” and “Heart Skips A Beat” are nice songs but up until last week, I hadn’t heard anything from him that left my jaw dropped to the floor.

Enter “Dear Darlin’”, a throwback styled POP gem with big beautiful melodies, it’s simply perfect and easily the best Olly Murs tune I’ve ever heard. As if the chorus isn’t grand enough here, the breakdown in the bridge is simply everything, sweet big band POP at its finest.
