Brandon Flowers crams a whole lot of sound in a sleek and funky package with “Can’t Deny My Love.”

The first offering from Brandon’s solo sophomore go-around The Desired Effect is something fresh and new from Flowers yet completely, undoubtedly, 100% Brandon… with a bit of Enrique Iglesias flare. Those heavenly pipes over an 80’s-tinged production combined with a smashing hook and sexy bass lines, it’s the raging Flowers POP-anthem we never got on the first go-around. But don’t get me wrong, his solo debut was a masterpiece to my ears – “Only The Young” is easily one of the greatest tracks of his entire career.

“Can’t Deny My Love” is the first single lifted from his sophomore album The Desired Effect, out May 19.
