Video Premiere: Miley Cyrus – We Can’t Stop

Former Disney powerhouse Miley Cyrus does the absolute most in her new video and the POP star is getting loads of negative criticism for the visual from early first impressions, is it really too try hard or is she just, being Miley?

I get it, there are bits here and there and everywhere that feel a bit forced, the over the top attitude doesn’t quite seem authentic but let’s face it, this is Miley Cyrus. We’re dealing with a 20 year old global POP superstar who has spent the last 7 or so years of her life in the public spotlight, a feat that not even a 20 year old Britney could relate to. Once we throw away our preconceived notions of the real Miley and except this Miley for being the real Miley, the video seems a lot more Miley, doesn’t it?

At the tender age of 20, Miley’s just figuring things out and she’s doing it with the entire world watching her every move. Let her twerk the nights away and awkwardly grind her bed if that’s what she chooses to do because I have a feeling this is just touching the surface of what’s to come. Take it or leave it but whatever you do, remember this, only God can judge us so forget the haters cause somebody loves her.

Remix Alert: Robin Thicke – Blurred Lines (Cave Kings Remix)

Cave Kings delivered one of the top mixes of 2013 so far with their “Scream & Shout” rework which features Luciana (listen here) and now they’ve put their magic on Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”.

The guys put an epic twist to the Robin Thicke jam with this official rework. They’ve completely reinvented the songs feel and structure, it’s on another level of greatness.

Perfect POP: Ciara – Overdose

Ciara just had her album leaked by her own team today and while the whole incident is an unfortunate mess for the POP star, we finally get to hear the incredible “Overdose” in full!

My anticipation of the song has been building every day since a snippet of the track was leaked nearly a year ago and I’m glad to report that the full song delivers, it’s POP perfection.

I want to hear more of this from Ciara, what are your thoughts on “Overdose”? Be sure to support C and pick up the self titled album when it drops on July 9th.

“Tie It Up” sounds like Shania Twain with a bit of Janet Jackson influence, it’s bizarrely good. There’s enough twang for the country format but I also think there’s a slight chance of crossover appeal for Kelly here.

A new track from the fabolous Alex Gaudino has hit the net and it features none other than Nicole Scherzinger on vocals.

New music from Nicole seems to surface every 3 months or so and then abruptly fades into the POP abyss but hopefully we’ll get an official version of this track with no tags as I quite like this one.
