Introducing my favorite new song of 2011 – “You’re Electric”.

“You’re Electric” shimmers with a massive melody from a lady with the voice of a classic diva. Gone are the reckless lyrics, electro-synth’s, and hard hitting drum kits that dominate the current mainstream music scene and in place is a modern 90’s POP sound that fulfills an emptiness for this nostalgic-like POP inside my heart.

23 year old Clare Maguire is not only one of the POP blogosphere’s hottest acts but also a BBC Sound Of 2011 artist and I can certainly see why. To top things off, Clare is supporting Hurts on tour beginning next month, that’s a pretty big deal in my book as Hurts is one of the best things to happen to music in 2010! Her debut album Light After Dark is set to drop on February 28th in the UK.
