First Listen: Taylor Swift – …Ready For It?

More new music from Taylor Swift has been released, only a mere week after her highly anticipated comeback single “Look What You Made Me Do” broke records across the globe.

“…Ready For It” was originally teased on a channel called ESPN during a football sports game between Alabama and Florida. Not even 12 hours passed since the initial tease and Swift has dropped the full song on Spotify early Sunday morning at 8AM EST/5AM PST.

Swift is coming for that street credit as she keeps the grimy industrial vibes alive when she rap/sings on the bass-heavy intro. It’s not until the hook hits that all-things 1989 kick in,  delivering a chorus that holds the Taylor Swift-iest melodies this era has yet to offer. I’m getting “Wildest Dreams” vibes from the hook here, but it’s all justified as one listen is all it will likely take to hook you in.

Update: The song was written by Swift, Karl Schuster, Karl Sandberg and Ali Payami and was produced by 1989 collaborators Max Martin, Shellback and Payami, which helps explains the songs massive melodies.
