Adventures In Latin-POP: La Oreja De Van Gogh

I LOVE POP MUSIC. No matter what language the singer/singers are singing in, I’am game for a seriously good POP song! This is the beauty of music, it truly is the universal language because you don’t even have to understand what they’re saying to love it! Though I understand Spanish (most of it, I am Mexican), I do listen to plenty of French and K-POP tunes in which I have no clue what is being said and I still get my POP rocks off!

With that being said, may I introduce you to a band MOST of you proably have never heard of…

LA OREJA DE VAN GOGH

I was first introduced to this group years ago when I heard their smash single “Rosas” on some satellite channel but never bothered to look up any of their other tracks or info on the band. Well this past month I met an awesome dude from Spain who was here in Chicago on holiday, low and behold I learned plenty about this group that I should have known. Like the fact that they are already wildly successful in Latin speaking countries with 5 hit studio albums amongst greatest hits and DVD releases! I hate being late on POP music and in this case I am EXTREMELY late, but I won’t be too harsh on myself considering their exposure in the US is very minimal.

Here is my chance to redeem myself with La Oreja De Van Gogh, listen to their brand new single “La Niña que Llora en tus Fiestas” below and I encourage you to check out the videos for “Rosas” and “La Playa” as well! Seriously perfect POP music like this should not be overlooked people!
